
· Dove-tailing his Engineering background and financial skills into successful leadership roles within the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets segments of the Industry,
· Establishing and expanding loan production and underwriting offices as profitable P&L centers while increasing market share, and
· Structuring in excess of $1 billion in transactions ranging from $2 to $100 million.
From 2006 through March, 2009, Marco Lainez was a Managing Director at Natixis Real Estate Capital, the US Real Estate group of Natixis (“KN”), an international investment bank owned by French banks; Banque Populaire and Caisse d'Epargne. In this role Marco co-led a team of six bankers; responsible for structuring Fixed-rate, Construction and Bridge loans as well as Preferred Equity & Mezzanine debt. From 2001 to 2006 Marco was employed with the Real Estate Finance Group of CIBC World Markets (“CM”), the 4th largest Canadian Bank. Marco’s career at CIBC evolved from a Transaction Management role responsible for all facets of underwriting, loan closing and asset management to co-head of the Southeast banking team, establishing marketing strategy and production goals. From 1996 through 2000 Marco was employed with General Electric (“GE”) where, from 1996 to 1998, prior to joining the real estate group of GE Capital, he was one of only three individuals at GE Energy Services sponsored into the company’s prestigious Leadership Program.
